Lektüreempfehlungen

Wer etwas lernen möchte, muß sich informieren. Ich lese gern. Die folgenden Bücher kann ich mit gutem Gewissen empfehlen, auch wenn einige (Laqueur, Oren, Chossudovsky, Drogin/Gebauer-Lippert) in der Qualität m. E. abfallen gegenüber den anderen.

Zu Sinn und Unsinn dieses Blogs

Ich habe mich mehrere Jahre lang als Mitglied der Tagesspiegel-Community darum bemüht, ein besseres Verständnis des Nahost-Konflikts und der Auseinandersetzungen um den Mittleren Osten zu vermitteln. Durch die Arbeit israelischer Historiker, aber auch durch ergänzende Recherchen von in der Region tätigen Autoren/Journalisten sind Erkenntnisse gewonnen worden, die der bisherigen Geschichtsschreibung interessante Aspekte hinzufügen bzw. historisch Falsches korrigieren.

Bei der Beschäftigung mit diesem Themenbereich ist natürlich damit zu rechnen, daß Widerspruch geäußert wird. Leider Gottes ergehen sich allerdings viele der Kommentatoren allzu oft in persönlichen Anwürfen oder Unterstellungen, auf die von der Community-Redaktion häufig keine Entgegnung zugelassen wird.

Dieses Blog soll sich inhaltlich mit dem oben beschriebenen Themenkomplex befassen und eine Reaktion auf demagogische Anwürfe ermöglichen. Dabei werden die einen oder anderen Mitkommentatoren der Tagesspiegel-Community häufiger mit Repliken bedacht werden als andere, was in der Natur der Sache liegt.

Ich versichere, meine Antworten nach bestem Wissen und Gewissen zu geben und die inhaltlichen Aussagen allesamt zu belegen.
